It’s that time of the year, late winter, early spring, when the Deucecast Movie Show puts a cap on the previous year by not only by listing the picks for the Top Ten Films of the Year, but also the People’s Movie Awards, the true champions of film, The Deucie Awards of 2020.
Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl sit down on the mic and share their picks for their fave films in all of 2019, from a Malick masterpiece (?) to a Fast & Furious spinoff to a Korean star is born. Only five films made it on all three lists, while a handful more made it only on two.
All along the countdown, the winners are revealed for categories like Supporting Actor… Best Ensemble… Best Comedy… the first real winner of the Jacob “Pinky” Pinkerton Brain Candy Film of the Year… can Saoirse Ronan become a two time winner? Can John Wick win a trilogy of Best Action movies? How many of the 9 nominations can Little Women actually win? Will #TwitterlessDrEarl’s fandom of A Hidden Life actually carry it to an award?
