ARGcast #146: POC Protagonists in Gaming with Kahlief Adams

by ARGcast

Kahlief Adams from Spawn On Me joins us to take a look at the best and worst examples of protagonists who represent people of color (POC) in gaming.

Show your diversity, ARGonauts! Spawn On Me host Kahlief Adams joins us to chat about how people of color (POC) have been represented as protagonists in gaming history. We get into the good, the bad, and the cringe-worthy examples of non-white heroes.

This week’s news kick us off with superstar politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez making an appearance on a Donkey Kong 64 stream. That’s followed by a Mortal Kombat 11 character leak, Square-Enix trademarking the visual style of Octopath Traveler, and a video showing how Fortnite would look like as a retro title.

In the Stage of History, we take a look at a couple of very different first-person titles with SiN and Mirror’s Edge. Robert then hits the streets in Obscura with Yie Ar Kung-Fu. Be sure to nab our game code giveaways, then stick around for a wild round of Random Select! Who could David be this time?
