Warp Trails: Picard #2-07 Monsters

by Warp Trails

Picard struggles with issues from his past while in a coma only for this episode to end up with Picard and Guinan in an entirely different kind of trouble.

Adam Soong’s attempt to remove Renée ended up with Jean-Luc in a coma. Now, Picard wanders through a dreamscape and memories that begin with a psyche evaluation given by a Starfleet officer. Tallinn moves to intervene and help Picard find his way out. Meanwhile, Raffi and Seven put the pieces together and become wise as to what is happening with Jurati and the Borg Queen. Season two is rapidly moving towards its conclusion. On this episode of Warp Trails, Beth and Dennis discuss all the current plotlines, the new story twists, and where this might all be headed.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • What is going on in Picard’s mind as he experiences a therapy session and hunts for his mother as a child,
  • Raffi and Seven’s hunt for Jurati after they learn she may be developing into a Borg Queen,
  • Rios’s relationship with Teresa and Star Trek: Voyage Home references,
  • Where is Q at this point and what is he up to, and
  • The surprise twist at the end of the episode and the cliffhanger.
