Warp Trails: Picard #2-04 Watcher

by Warp Trails

Picard uses the Queen’s coordinates to track down the Watcher, only it is not who he expected to find. Meanwhile, Raffi and Seven look for Rios.

Sensing that they have a limited amount of time, Picard transports to the coordinates the Borg Queen gave Jurati in the hopes of finding the Watcher. Instead, he finds a younger Guinan, but she has no interest in helping him or humanity any longer. Meanwhile, Raffi and Seven continue looking for Rios after he went missing in the last episode. Finally, Jurati and the Queen play mind games with each other as Jurati attempts to secure her aid in restoring the ships comms and transporters.

In this episode we discuss:

  • The appearance of a younger Guinan,
  • Timeline confusion in this episode and how it is explained,
  • The identity of the Watcher and how it may or may not be who it appears to be,
  • Watcher’s in prior Star Trek stories,
  • The portrayal of the LAPD and ICE in this episode,
  • Jurati’s interaction and bargain with the Queen, and
  • Rafi and Seven’s theft of a police cruiser.
