Warp Trails: Lower Decks #2-7 Where Pleasant Fountains Lie

by Warp Trails

Jeffrey Combs returns to Star Trek as the evil, sentient computer AGIMUS, and Mariner and Boimler must get him to the Daystrom Institute.

Boimler is excited to take his phaser rifle on a mission to hunt giant centipedes when he is suddenly reassigned to an escort mission with Mariner. Their task: deliver an evil, sentient computer that engineered a 100 year long war to the Daystrom Institute on Earth. Naturally, things quickly go wrong. Meanwhile, Queen Paolana of the Hysperians contacts Captain Freeman and the U.S.S. Cerritos when her warp engines fail. Does she really need help, or is this a complicated plot for her son, Cerritos’s Chief Engineer Billups, to lose his virginity and take the Hysperian throne (yes, you read that correctly). Join us on this episode of Lower Decks as we share some of favorite jokes and moments from this episode.

On this episode, we discuss:

  • The return of Jeffrey Combs to Star Trek,
  • Mariner and Boimler’s mission to deliver AGIMUS to the Daystrom Institute,
  • Mariner’s annoyance with Boimler’s constant references to his service on the U.S.S. Titan,
  • The arrival of Queen Paolana when her ship, the Monaveen, and her plot to get Chief Engineer Billups to take the throne, and
  • Tendi’s guilt over pushing Rutherford out of his comfort zone and his near death because of it.
