Cleveland Booker has learned that his home world of Kwejian is under threat from Osyraa and the Emerald Chain. Therefore, he appeals to Michael for help. Fortunately, Saru and Michael talk Admiral Vance into allowing them to at least provide some limited help to Booker’s mission. It is a race against time for the Discovery as Osyraa is fast approaching in her warship. Can Booker reach a peace with his brother and find a new way for Kwejian?
