Transformers: Power of the Primes

Over the last couple of years, Hasbro has created a Transfomers trilogy of sorts, called Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy. The trilogy has been made of animated movies, toys, and even comic books. Now the final chapter of the saga has arrived, and it will see Megatronus (the first Decepticon) battle a number of Primes (the good guys). The animated series is not set to air until later this year, but big voice actors have been slated to join the cast. Megatronus will be voice by none other than Mark Hamill, and Optimus Primal (one of the very first Primes) will be voiced by Ron Perlman! Right now you can view Transformers: Titans Return, the season finale from last year’s series on Go90. So Transformers fans, go check it out!

Enola Holmes Mysteries

Millie Bobby Brown (star of Stranger Things) has signed a deal to star in a new set of Sherlock Holmes-type movies based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries books by Nancy Springer. Enola Holmes is a new character by Springer (not Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)–she is the teenage sister of Sherlock Holmes, and she has a taste for solving mysteries of course. The film is being set up by Legendary Entertainment, and Brown is set to star and produce. There are no writers or directors set yet, so the film is just getting started. But it sounds pretty cool!

John Williams

Composer John Williams is not slowing down, even at age 86. The Oscar winner has agreed to write the theme music for this year’s new standalone Star Wars film, Solo.  The entire film will be scored by composer John Powell, but he will use Williams’ theme. Williams also has told Star Wars: Episode IX director J. J. Abrams that he will compose music for Episode IX next year. Williams stated, “I would very much like to complete that.” Cheers to more excellent John Williams sounds in the Star Wars universe!

Krypton

The first trailer for Syfy’s Krypton has arrived! The new prequel series focuses on Superman’s homeworld more than 200 years before Superman himself. The series will use time travel to connect the Kryptonian origin story to the present, and will incorporate Adam Strange (played by Shaun Sipos). Check out the trailer for more insight. Krypton will premiere March 21 on Syfy.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

The popular animated show Teen Titans Go! is heading to the big screen! The trailer is finally here, and it’s as goofy and funny as the show itself. Jealous of all the new hero films, the Titans are off to Hollywood to get their own superhero movie. The film is directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, and features the voice talents of Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy, Tara Strong as Raven, and Hynden Walch as Starfire. Plus Kristen Bell and Will Arnett are joining, as film director Jade Wilson and Deathstroke, respectively. The movie opens July 27.
