It’s a mega stuffed anniversary episode for The Trade Federation! Joe and Bill have been podcasting for a full year, and they are joined by Sean AKA PittsburghNerd to help them celebrate it. But before they can celebrate the accomplishment, there’s a TON of new stuff to talk about where Card Trader is concerned!
Bill kicks off the show by sharing his current trade message that he will be posting throughout the episode and trying to get some good on-air offers. As usual, Bill is gunning for value and to increase his Force Score, a crusade that has taken him far in the past few weeks.
Next up, new sets! The app has seen a ton of new sets dropping with a wide range of odds, pull mechanics, trade mechanics, parallels and more and the crew tackles each of them. They talk about the frantic panic of trying to trade Written By inserts within the daily one hour window, and the inability to trade the brand new Japanese Scrolls insert set. Then it’s time to have a good long chat about the insanity that is the Jedi Legacy set, an 80-card set with two different 40-card chases, 1:30 odds and a 3500 count that can only be pulled once per day. The guys wonder if the size of the set would have been more feasible for most people if it had been dropped all at once in a style similar to that of the Journey to the Force Awakens or Phantom Menace sets, and Joe wishes openly that it had so it could be his favorite current set for swapping.
Once all the new business is out of the way the crew blazes through the poll before Bill reads through a huge list of people that the Trade Federation wants to personally thank for their support over this first year. And finally, a whole bunch of listener voicemails and the weekly trivia question from /u/curtneedsaride3 on a very special anniversary edition of The Trade Federation!
