Thor: Ragnarok

What a fun, exciting trailer! This will be Thor’s breakout film for sure; this movie looks amazing–action, adventure, and Jeff Goldblum! Thor: Ragnarok comesout November 3.

Justice League

The long awaited sneak peek trailer for Warner Brothers’s Justice League made it’s debut at SDCC. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film features the League all together–Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Godot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller). And presumably Superman (Henry Cavill) will make an appearance as well. Justice League hits theaters November 17.

Ready Player One

Finally, it’s here! The trailer for Steven Spielberg’s film adaptation of Ernest Cline’s sensational novel, Ready Player One. This was one of the best trailers from SDCC. Try to catch all the 1980’s Easter eggs in the trailer. And if you’ve not read the book yet, get on it! Ready Player One comes to theaters March 30, 2018.

Marvel’s The Defenders

Trailer two for The Defenders arrived at SDCC as well (not to mention all of the actors from the hit shows too!). Check out the quartet of anti-heroes team up to take on criminals in NYC. The Defenders premieres on Netflix next month, August 18.

 Stranger Things 2

It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurking in the dark…. What a trailer for Stranger Things 2! There isn’t anything about this trailer that isn’t spot-on 80’s nostalgia, with the creepy, spooky wonderfullness that is Stranger Things. Get ready, hold on tight–Stranger Things 2 premieres just before Halloween on October 27.

The Walking Dead Season 8

War is ON in The Walking Dead Season 8! Check out the show’s season 8 trailer and get ready for some serious action! The Walking Dead returns October 22 on AMC.

Marvel’s Inhumans

After months of photo releases, the trailer for Marvel’s Inhumans has finally arrived! The family of superhumans flees  to Earth, and then fight to save it.  Inhumans will debut in IMAX on September 1 (the first live-action TV series to do so), then continue on ABC as a series September 29, featuring 8 episodes.

Westworld Season 2

It’s not safe to go back to the park. The trailer for HBO’s Westworld Season 2 promises plenty of rebellion, destruction, and a lot more questions! Return to Westworld in 2018, if you dare.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

A second great trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle debuted! This film is going to be awesome! So many big names are attached to the film–Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Julianne Moore, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Mark Strong, and Jeff Bridges! Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits theaters September 22.

Bright

Bright looks to be a promising film going by the trailer from SDCC. In an alternate Earth two cops, a human named Daryl Ward (Will Smith) and an Orc, Nick Jacoby (Joel Edgerton), patrol the streets. On routine patrol the encounter something that will possibly destroy the world as they know it. Directed by David Ayer, Bright comes to Netflix December 22 this year.

Star Trek: Discovery

The exciting new Star Trek show premiered an explosive trailer at SDCC. The series takes place 10 years before the original Star Trek series, and focuses on First Officer Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham. This newest chapter in the Star Trek universe arrives September 24 on CBS All Access.

 The Gifted

A new tv show coming to FOX this fall–The Gifted is based around Marvel’s Comics’ X-men properties. It follows a mother and father that take their family on the run after finding out the children have mutant powers. It will star Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as the parents. The Gifted will premiere October 2 on FOX.

The Orville

The second trailer for funny man Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi spoof, The Orville, landed at SDCC too. The space-adventure comedy will be coming to FOX on September 10.

Pacific Rim: Uprising

A very short teaser trailer was released for the new Pacific Rim film. Although it’s pretty short, the teaser is intriguing. The movie will take place 10 years after the first battle in the original film. The film stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jian Ting, and Cailee Spaeny. Pacific Rim: Uprising hits theaters February 23, 2018.

The Shape of Water

Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming film, The Shape of Water, debuted an intriguing, mysterious trailer at SDCC. The movie is classified as a ‘romantic horror film’. It stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Octavia Spender and Doug Jones. The film comes to theaters December 8 this year.
