With a year of podcasting under their belts, Joe and Bill get straight back into the usual routine this week by getting straight into some talk about the new sets! Of course, only the 8-bit set is technically new, in that the other new set is the long awaited return of movie posters! The guys discuss both for a while, in particular the fact that 8-bit is awesome and seems to be taken directly from the old mobile game Tiny Death Star, and the fact that posters has WAY too many variants. Between colors and frame types, the set has 18 different variants that you can work towards. Bill and Joe spend a bit of time talking about different ways that the parallels could have been handled more effectively, but both agree that it’s nice we finally have something to spend all those wood resources on.
After that, it’s straight into the weekly poll. This week it’s all about the various Series Two sets we’ve been given. Which of the Series Two sets have been your favorites? Is there anything you’d like to see come back around in the future? Some of the answers to the poll may be a surprise depending on what sorts of sets you find appealing! Bill has Joe take a guess at what the masses have chosen and Joe miscalculates in spectacular fashion. Can’t win them all!
When the poll is done, the guys answer some questions and end up going off on a tangent and talking about Star Wars theories and speculation. Is it considered a tangent to talk about Star Wars films within the context of a card trading app? We don’t know and we don’t care!
Lastly it’s listener voicemails and our weekly trivia from /u/curtneedsaride3! The show is always looking for new callers, so get your yourself heard next week by calling in!
