The Deucecast Movie Show #450: Breakthroughs and Breakouts

by Deucecast Movie Show

The actors and actresses you know and love had to start somewhere so this week we discuss those breakthrough movie roles.

The Deucecast guys round the corner and are less than a year’s worth of episodes to the big 500… coming next September!  But until then, Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl have to give the world the four hundred and fiftieth episode!

Joining the show at the top is Miss Independent himself, Jeremy Burgess, to give the update first on “Jasper Mall”, the 2020 documentary that is the favorite to win Best Doc at the 2021 Deucie Awards… then an update on fundraising for the new movie “Don’t Die”.

Then a new game, “You Never Forget Your First” with a look at the first roles of many of the biggest stars in Hollywood, plus Eric Roberts.

Then, the Top Five Best Breakthroughs in Film, including Earl’s pretention… Burgess picking some new blood… an old flame for Mikey… a controversial pick from d$… and a riff on how popular “American Flyers” actually was. No, we know, you have never heard of it either.

And finally, the movie selection for the annual MikeTober Horror Movie Revue!

The Deucecast podcast, movie

The Deucecast Movie Show is a podcast done by movie fans for movie fans of all kinds. Hosts Mikey, Dave, and featured friend of the show #TwitterlessDrEarl, along with a rotating cast of fun guests, discuss all sorts of movies–from new to old, fantastic to craptastic and everything in between.  Expect themed episodes, feature lists, favorite movies, and tournaments pitting movie against movie or actor against act because we love a good bracket. Play along with movie games like “Denzel” or “The Ryan Philippe Game,” then participate in voting in the annual Deucie Awards and yell at us when someone defends a Damon Wayans movie as “nearly the perfect film.” If you love movies, then you’ll love The Deucecast Movie Show! We love to interact with our listeners so please subscribe to the podcast and send us an email, tweets, and comments as you listen at your leisure. The more the merrier, so thanks for tuning in!
