Welcome to episode 8 of Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels.
As usual, the show starts off with recent Star Wars and San Diego Comic Con news. First, Dennis and Taxus discuss the resumption of ticket sales for the Star Wars Original Trilogy Marathon at Alamo Draft House. Next, they comment on the announcement of the new Hasbro Black Series figures from San Diego Comic Con and Jaina Solo winning the fan choice poll. Finally, the news ends is a discussion of character reveals for Rogue One announced at San Diego Comic Con.
After the news, a mysterious guest promises to reveal the behind the scenes secrets from Star Wars Celebration Europe.
This week’s Hyperthetical segment has two parts. First, Dennis and Taxus review Chuck Wendig’s latest Star Wars novel, Life Debt. After discussing Life Debt, they dive back into Rebels. Inspired by the return of Thrawn, the guys give their top ten characters from Legends or the Star Wars canon that they would like to see come to Rebels.
Last, the listener feedback keeps coming in via email, Tweets, and Facebook. As always, Taxus and Dennis respond in “Silence Fools!”
