Hera leads the Rebel assault on Lothal only to get intercepted by Grand Admiral Thrawn’s fleet. Kanan makes some hard decisions in the aftermath.
After Hera finally convinced the Rebel Command to approve her attack on Lothal, she finds herself in command of the squadron of X-Wings tasked with the mission. However, after a promising start, the mission soon becomes a disaster as Thrawn’s blockade shoots her and her squadron down. Trapped in the city of Lothal, Hera fights to get out, but is soon overwhelmed by the Empire’s forces. Meanwhile, Kanan and the rest of the Specters witness the destruction of Hera’s squadron. Kanan makes the decision to go back for Hera, and sends the rest of the team on their way. This is an important and pivotal episode of Rebels that sets up the remainder of the season.
