Podcast Stardust #426: Galaxy’s Edge Part 1

by Podcast Stardust

From piloting the Millennium Falcon to building lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop, we dive into the details of our adventures at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

Our trip to California for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 was supplemented with our first ever visit to the planet of Batuu in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. In this episode of Podcast Stardust, Dennis and Jay begin to share all their adventures in Disney’s fully immersive Star Wars theme park. This will be the first of two episodes covering Galaxy’s Edge. In this episode, we cover what it was like to arrive in Batuu, fly the Millennium Falcon, try blue and green milk, and build lightsabers. Spoiler: we had an epic time. So, thank you for joining us for part one of our Galaxy Edge adventures on Podcast Stardust!

In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • Our first impressions on walking into Batuu and seeing the Millennium Falcon,
  • Some of the details of the queue for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run,
  • How our first adventure on the Millennium Falcon went (only minor spoilers for the experience),
  • Our thoughts on the First Order section of Galaxy’s Edge,
  • What we thought of blue and green milk,
  • Our opinions of the Ronto wraps from Ronto Roasters, and
  • What it was like to build lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop (again only minor spoilers for the experience).

Thanks for joining us for another episode. Please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts and spread the word to all of your Star Wars friends. May the Force be with you!

Don’t forget to check out our discussion of Obi-Wan Kenobi Part IV in episode 425.

Podcast Stardust is the fully armed and operational podcast inspired by the code name for the Death Star. Hosted by first-generation Star Wars fans, Dennis Keithly and Jay Krebs, Podcast Stardust endeavors to bring thought provoking discussion on recent Star Wars news on a weekly basis. Between news episodes, Dennis and Jay review the latest episodes from Star Wars television covering everything from ResistanceRebels, and The Clone Wars to The Mandalorian and other live action productions on Disney+. Of course, Podcast Stardust wouldn’t be complete without thematic discussions, top ten lists, and interviews on everything from Star Wars literature, comics, and the films themselves.
