Podcast Stardust #413: Rebels – Double Agent Droid – 0319

by Podcast Stardust

AP-5 knows that Chopper has been compromised by the Empire after a mission with Wedge Antilles, but he just can’t get anyone to listen or believe him.

The Rebel Alliance is beginning to plan its attack on Lothal. One of the key components to their plans is getting access codes from the Empire. They send Wedge Antilles, Chopper, and AP-5 to an Imperial outpost to obtain these codes. However, they are unaware that an Imperial listening ship is on to them. Although the mission is successful, Chopper is compromised by the Empire, and only AP-5 seems to know it. Can he convince the rest of the crew that Chopper poses a danger before it is too late? Join us on Podcast Stardust as we discuss “Double Agent Droid” from season three of Star Wars: Rebels.

In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • How this episode differs from most of the episodes in season three of Rebels,
  • Whether AP-5 became a bit tiring with his constant chatter,
  • How Vanessa Marshall pulled triple voice duty,
  • The revelation that Chopper has part of his memory wiped after each mission by Hera,
  • The introduction of Josh Gad’s character, LT-319, and
  • How Hera turned the tables on the Imperials, and whether it made sense.
