Podcast Stardust #330: War of the Bounty Hunters 4 & 5

by Podcast Stardust

Boba Fett finally has an opportunity to recover Han Solo and claim his bounty from Jabba the Hutt. He just has to get past the Rebels, the Empire, and the Hutts first.

Boba Fett’s mission to reclaim the slab of carbonite containing Han Solo reaches its conclusion. The other bounty hunters of the galaxy may have interfered, but so far Boba Fett has overcome them all. Now he just needs to get out of Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn’s ship and retrieve Han before the Rebellion does. Everyone knows the ending of this story. The remaining question is: how does Boba Fett do it? We discuss all of this and more as we wrap up our discussion of Charles Soule’s War of the Bounty Hunters with a look at issues four and five.

In this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • Luke’s decision not to fight Darth Vader,
  • Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca’s pursuit of the Imperial shuttle,
  • Whether Boba Fett was a side character at times in this series,
  • Qi’ra’s overall motivations for this scheme,
  • The Hutts’ decision to challenge the Empire,
  • Boba Fett’s recovery of Han Solo,
  • The fate of Breilert Vallance,
  • Whether Star Wars needed to integrate all their current ongoing titles into this series, and
  • The epilogue of the series.
