Podcast Stardust #27: A Legacy of Jedi

by Podcast Stardust

On this week’s episode of the fully armed and operational podcast, we examine a Jedi family tree that starts with Yoda, includes Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, and ends with Rey.

For the Jedi in Star Wars, attachment is forbidden. They are prohibited from having families. However, they develop close bonds between masters and apprentices. In that respect, they do create family trees of sorts. We examine one such family tree that includes Yoda, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan and more in episode 27: “A Legacy of Jedi.”

On this episode, we discuss:

  • Yoda and his padawan, Count Dooku,
  • Dooku’s relationship to Qui-Gon Jinn,
  • Jinn’s sometimes strained relationship to Obi-Wan,
  • Obi-Wan’s training of Anakin and Luke,
  • Yoda’s mentorship of Luke, and
  • Luke’s handling and training of Ben Solo and Rey.

Podcast Stardust is the fully armed and operational podcast inspired by the code name for the Death Star. Hosted by first-generation Star Wars fans, Dennis Keithly and Jay Krebs, Podcast Stardust endeavors to bring thought provoking discussion on recent Star Wars news on a weekly basis. Between news episodes, Dennis and Jay review the latest episodes from Star Wars television covering everything from ResistanceRebels, and The Clone Wars to The Mandalorian and other live action productions on Disney+. Of course, Podcast Stardust wouldn’t be complete without thematic discussions, top ten lists, and interviews on everything from Star Wars literature, comics, and the films themselves.
