On this week’s episode of the fully armed and operational podcast, we examine a Jedi family tree that starts with Yoda, includes Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, and ends with Rey.
For the Jedi in Star Wars, attachment is forbidden. They are prohibited from having families. However, they develop close bonds between masters and apprentices. In that respect, they do create family trees of sorts. We examine one such family tree that includes Yoda, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan and more in episode 27: “A Legacy of Jedi.”
On this episode, we discuss:
- Yoda and his padawan, Count Dooku,
- Dooku’s relationship to Qui-Gon Jinn,
- Jinn’s sometimes strained relationship to Obi-Wan,
- Obi-Wan’s training of Anakin and Luke,
- Yoda’s mentorship of Luke, and
- Luke’s handling and training of Ben Solo and Rey.
