Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo are back for the premiere of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. We dive into the first episode as the Republic becomes the Empire.
From the ashes of The Clone Wars a new Star Wars animated series arises: The Bad Batch. Also known as Clone Force 99, Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo are genetically enhanced or altered clones that do not fit in with their “regulation” brethren in the regular clone army. So, they form their own unit and tackle jobs the average clone doesn’t. In this premiere episode, they assist in a battle on the planet Kaller in the final days of the Clone Wars. However, things rapidly change, and the galaxy the Bad Batch knew is forever altered.
On this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:
- The surprise appearance of Depa Billaba and her Padawan,
- Emperor Palpatine’s issuance of Order 66,
- How Order 66 affected Crosshair and the other members of Clone Force 99,
- Tarkin’s arrival on Kamino and his opposition to the Bad Batch,
