The High Republic is rolling with multiple books, comics, and a lot of concept art. This week, we attempt to cast all the roles of The High Republic for a dream cast in a potential movie.
As the novel, comics, character videos, and concept art for The High Republic find their way to Star Wars audiences, we have begun to cast these characters in our own minds. Claudia Gray’s comments that Leox Gyasi is her interpretation of what would happen if Matthew McConaughey had a starship only fueled our imaginations. So, this week, we are putting our casting director hats on and making our picks for the actors and actresses that could portray the characters of The High Republic in a movie.
On this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:
- Actresses that might do well as Avar Kriss,
- Who we envision in the role of Vernestra Rwoh,
- Our thought process in casting Elzar Mann,
- The difficulties in casting Master Chomac Vitus,
- Alternate ideas on how to cast the villainous Marchion Ro,
- Finding actresses that have a particular look for Orla Jareni,
- A few dream castings, and more.
