Podcast Stardust #231: Rogue One, Part 3 – The Holy City

by Podcast Stardust

Our year-long discussion of Rogue One continues as Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, and K-2SO arrive on Jedha and meet Chirrut Îmwe.

After Mon Mothma and the Rebel high command convinces Jyn Erso to aid them with an introduction to Saw Gerrera, she and Cassian Andor arrive on Jedha. They need to infiltrate the Holy City, but the Empire has it on lock down. Once inside, conditions in the city deteriorate as Saw Gerrera’s men stage an attack on the Empire. We discuss all of this plus Jyn’s first meeting with Chirrut Îmwe on this episode of Podcast Stardust.

On this fully armed and operational episode of Podcast Stardust, Alan Zaugg from Idiot’s Array joins us as we discuss:

  • Jyn’s dream of her parents and Director Krennic on Coruscant,
  • Cassian’s explanation of the activities in the Holy City on Jedha,
  • Jyn and Cassian infiltrating the Holy City,
  • The denizens of the Holy City and how they stack up to the Mos Eisley Cantina,
  • What “Rebellions are built on hope” means, and
  • Saw Gerrera’s Rebels attacking the Imperials.
