Podcast Stardust #215: Rebels – Brothers of the Broken Horn

by Podcast Stardust

Hondo Ohnaka makes his debut on Rebels as Ezra attempt to find his place among the crew of the Ghost and his own path.

One of the theme’s of Rebels is Ezra’s challenge in finding his place in the galaxy. In “Brothers of the Broken Horn,” Ezra confronts that question again as he struggles to keep up with the demands placed on his time by Kanan (for Jedi Training), Rex (for soldier training), and Hera (for routine ship duties). While cleaning the Ghost, Ezra intercepts a communication from Vizago looking for help. Ezra seizes on this chance to get out on his own, but when he arrives at The Broken Horn, he meets the infamous pirate — Hondo Ohnaka.

On this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • Hondo Ohnaka’s introduction in Rebels,
  • Ezra’s development and struggle to find his place,
  • Hondo’s history and how his appearance in Rebels compares to that in The Clone Wars,
  • Azmorigan’s appearance,
  • Chopper’s heroics, and
  • Ezra’s promise of a favor to Vizago.
