Podcast Stardust #206: Rebels – The Lost Commanders – 0203

by Podcast Stardust

Another veteran from The Clone Wars joins the cast of Rebels when Kanan leads a team to recruit allies and find the location for a new Rebel base.

The Rebels just suffered a huge defeat at the hands of Darth Vader. Now, it is time to regroup. Ezra suggests that they establish a base. The Rebels also realize they could use some allies. Ahsoka has a suggestion to help them find both and gives them the coordinates where they might find an old ally of hers from the Clone Wars. She advises Kanan to trust her old friend no matter what. However, when they arrive at the coordinates, the ally is not what Kanan expected at all.

On this fully armed and operational episode, Ryder Waldron from Idiot’s Array joins us and we discuss:

  • How season seven of The Clone Wars impacts viewing this episode,
  • Kanan’s reaction to seeing Rex and the rest of the clones,
  • What Rex meant when he said, “These aren’t the Jedi that betrayed us,”
  • The retirement of the clones and how the deal with the trauma of the Clone Wars,
  • How the clone’s AT-TE reminds Jay of an RV,
  • Slinging for joopas, and
  • How Ezra bridges (no pun intended) the gap between Rex and Kanan.
