Podcast Stardust #190: The Mandalorian – Chapter 14 – The Tragedy

by Podcast Stardust

Din Jarin and Grogu arrive on Tython. They aren’t alone. A familiar ships soon arrives with a fan favorite character. The Empire soon follows.

Just as it appears that Din Jarin has reached the final step of his quest to return Grogu to the Jedi, chaos erupts. Boba Fett arrives in Slave I and demands the return of his armor. He also has backup in the form of an assassin previously thought dead. Before that issue can even be resolved, the Empire arrives and attacks. Now, the Mandalorian must work with the legendary bounty hunter and his assassin sidekick to save the Child from Imperial captivity.

On this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • The Mandalorian’s response to Grogu’s abilities and his reluctance to turn him over to the Jedi,
  • The arrival on Tython and our thoughts on the Jedi temple,
  • The Child’s response to the Seeing Stone,
  • The importance, if any, of the butterflies in the Jedi temple,
  • Slave I’s appearance,
  • Boba Fett’s appearance and confrontation with Din Djarin,
  • The evolution of Boba Fett in Star Wars,
  • The return of Fennec Shand,
  • The quality of the action in this episode,
  • The attack of the Dark Troopers, and
  • Gideon’s plans for Grogu.
