Podcast Stardust #131: Rebels – Gathering Forces – 0109

by Podcast Stardust

Kanan and Ezra set a trap for the Grand Inquisitor as Ezra struggles to forgive Tseebo. Join us for our discussion of Rebels, “Gathering Forces.”

After a week off, we resume our discussion of season one of Rebels. “Gathering Forces” was the first episode after mid-season break during the first season. Hera and the crew of the Ghost make their escape from the Grand Inquisitor only to discover the Empire is tracking them. Also, Ezra cannot get past his anger at Tseebo and the fate of his parents. Kanan decides to set a trap for the Grand Inquisitor and takes Ezra with him to Fort Anaxes. Ezra makes a connection through the Force, but it doesn’t go the way Kanan expects.

On this fully armed and operational episode, we discuss:

  • Kanan encouraging Ezra to make a connection again,
  • Ezra acknowledging what he is really afraid of,
  • Tseebo’s guild and attempts to make amends,
  • The Grand Inquisitor taunting Ezra to use the dark side of the Force, and
  • Ezra’s use of the Force and what it means for him.

Thanks for joining us for another episode. Please subscribe wherever you listen to podcasts and spread the word to all of your Star Wars friends. May the Force be with you!
