In the many years of The Deucecast Movie Show, there have been hundreds, maybe thousands of movies that have been reviewed, from early in the 1900s until very recently.

However, the guys of the show have wondered what is truly the best year of film ever… not the best movies of the year — but the BEST YEAR of MOVIES EVER.

The years have been given numbers, and randomly numbers are called to fill out a bracket with 40 different years in it.

First up…
2004 (Hitch, The Incredibles, National Treasure & Mean Girls and, negatively, Catwoman)
vs
1986 (Platoon, Aliens, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off & Stand By Me)

Then a battle with
1981 (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman II, Stripes & Evil Dead)
vs
1998 (Saving Private Ryan, The Big Lebowski, You’ve Got Mail &  A Bug’s Life)

And the big battle between Saving Private Ryan and Raiders of the Lost Ark

And then you have:
1992 (Aladdin, Unforgiven, A Few Good Men & Reservoir Dogs)
vs
2008 (Iron Man, Wall*E, The Dark Knight & Tropic Thunder)

What do you pick?
