Avengers: Infinity War

Can’t wait until May for the new Avengers film? Well, don’t worry! Avengers: Infinity War is now being released a week earlier in the U.S. than previously announced! The film will hit theaters April 27. Marvel Studios made the announcement via a Twitter back-and-forth with none other than Iron Man himself, Robert Downey, Jr. So gear up, Avengers Assemble (Sooner)!

Discworld

Terry Pratchett fans rejoice! Another of the famed author’s books is coming to television! BBC Studios announced it is planning a six-part series based on the Discworld novels. No official word on writers or directors at this point, however the series will be co-produced by Narrativia, which is the production company founded by Terry Pratchett. In the interim, fans can get ready for Good Omens, which debuts in 2019.

Prospect

The first photos from the scifi film Prospect have arrived! Prospect was created as a short film in 2014 that premeired at South by Southwest. The film is written by Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell and features a father/daughter team who travel to an alien moon to mine it for a rare mineral. The photos are very intriguing, and the short film is pretty intense. Check out the short film and photos. Prospect stars Jay Duplass and Sophie Thatcher, and will open March 10 at South by Southwest.

Star Wars: Last Shot

The first excerpt from Daneil Jose Older’s much anticipated novel Last Shot has arrived–and it is awesome! The book hits shelves April 17, and it follows pals Han Solo and Lando Calrission through three time periods: Lando’s ownership of the Millennium Falcon, then Han’s ownership of the craft, and finally just after the Battle of Endor. The excerpt describes a bit of Han’s struggles with being a dad to toddler Ben Solo. It seriously tugs at the heartstrings. Check out the excerpt here–the book is available now for pre-order.
