Ant-Man and the Wasp

Tiny heroes, big action! The first official trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp has arrived! Paul Rudd returns as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly is the Hope van Dyne/Wasp. The two must team up to rescue Hank Pym’s (Michael Douglas) wife, who was thought to be lost forever in the Quantum Realm. Pym’s wife, the original Wasp and Hope’s mother, is played by Michelle Pfeiffer. Check out Dennis Keithly’s trailer break-down here for more info! Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters July 6.

Mute

A second Paul Rudd trailer debuted this week as well, one for the Netflix film Mute by director Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code, Warcraft). Jones has been working on this script for years with Michael Robert Johnson. The film is set in a futuristic Berlin, where a mute bartender (Alexander Skarsgard) is searching for his missing girlfriend. Along the way he meets two US Army surgeons with their own secrets, Cactus Bill (Rudd) and Duck (Justin Theroux). The movie looks dark and super interesting, and it comes out this month! Mute debuts on Netflix February 23.

Cowboy Ninja Viking

Chris Pratt’s long in the works comic book movie adaptation has a director–Michelle MacLaren! MacLaren is known for directing Game of Thrones, and has worked on Westworld and The Walking Dead. Cowboy Ninja Viking is based on the comic book by A.J. Lieberman and artist Riley Rossmo. The concept is pretty unique–a counter-intelligence agency that is made up of people with Multiple Personality Disorder. Pratt would play the titular Cowboy Ninja Viking (meaning he has three personalities based on a cowboy, ninja, and viking). His fellow agents turn into assassins, and he must hunt them down. The film has been bounced around for almost eight years now, but seems to be moving forward. It is scheduled for release June 28, 2019.
