Each and every week, your hosts will revisit an episode of the series in the order in which they first premiered. They discuss their favorite jokes, gags, and discuss all the cultural references they can find! Each episode is then given a “Water Tower Rating” by the hosts. How many water towers will this episode get? This sixth episode features the segments “Temporary Insanity,” “Operation Lollipop,” and the song “What Are We?”:

Temporary Insanity

Mr. Plotz’ secretary goes home sick so he tries to call a temp agency to help him answer the phone. Unfortunately he calls the Warners by accident! The siblings drive the CEO crazy as they try to help with filing papers and “taking a letter” (Where should they take it?). Your hosts discuss the quick fire references in this segment which include references to Jerry Lewis and Mel Brooks’ “The Producers.”

Operation Lollipop

Mindy and Buttons’ first cartoon is discussed. Buttons is given the simple task of watching Mindy but he soon ends up chasing her through the streets and even into the sky! What do our hosts think about this first Mindy and Buttons cartoon and what should they do about Mindy’s mother?

What Are We?

Dr. Scratchansniff asks the Warners the question that we all want the answer to, “WHAT ARE YOU?” The Warners sing a catchy song that gives multiple answers to the question. Dogs? Cats? Horses? Seals? Bugs? The hosts discuss their memories of the song and what they think the Warners resemble the most.

Inspiration from the Marx Brothers

What do the Animaniacs have in common with the Marx Brothers? What’s the origin of the Gookie? Listen to find out!
