It’s time again for the Animanicast! Here’s episode fifty one discussing Animaniacs segments “The Warners and the Beanstalk,” “Frontier Slappy,” and more!
Join your hosts Joey, Nathan and Kelly in the “Animanicast!” A podcast dedicated to the classic 90’s cartoon show Animaniacs! Today’s discussion of episode 51 of Animaniacs features the Warners retelling the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk and Slappy the Squirrel goes head to head with Daniel Boone.
Animaniacs S01E51
Each and every week, your hosts revisit an episode of the series in the order in which they first premiered. They discuss their favorite jokes, gags, and discuss all the cultural references they can find! Each episode is then given a “Water Tower Rating” by the hosts. How many water towers will this episode get?
Branimaniacs
First, Slappy and Skippy do a commercial for the new cereal with lots “get up and go.” Joey mentions how the commercial reminded him of a classic SNL commercial. Kelly states that she particularly liked the look of the sugar cube Slappy heads.
The Warners and the Beanstalk
Next, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot take on the role of Jack in this retelling of the story “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Ralph plays the part of the giant. The story mirrors elements of “Mickey and the Beanstalk” with lots of twists along the way.
Frontier Slappy
Finally, Slappy is bothered by Daniel Boone who wants to chop down her tree. Daniel gets second thoughts however when he ends up getting continually hurt by Slappy.
