Episode 48a

Each and every week, your hosts revisit an episode of the series in the order in which they first premiered. They discuss their favorite jokes, gags, and discuss all the cultural references they can find! Each episode (or comic book) is then given a “Water Tower Rating” by the hosts. How many water towers will this comic book get?

Animaniacs Reboot

As originally reported by Indie Wire, Amblin entertainment and Warner Bros. may be in initial talks to reboot Animaniacs! But how reliable is this report? The hosts first discuss some of their initial hesitiations and what they would like to see in any Animaniacs reboot in the future. Above all, the trio agree that the show would need to have the original voice actors, writers, and producers involved if at all possible.

Joey encouraged listeners to not simply sign online petitions with their concerns or send emails or tweets. The best way to get the attention of Warner Bros. and Amblin is to write them a physical letter. Head to facebook.com/animanicast for more information on addresses to write to.

Phoenix Comicon 2017

Joey and Nathan then review some of the fun they had Memorial Day weekend at Phoenix Comicon 2017. Nathan saw some great panels, Joey hosted a panel, and Nathan found Pinky and the Brain Funko figures! Now Joey’s collection is complete, for now!

Animaniacs Comics Issue #2

Finally Joey and Nathan discuss Animaniacs Issue #2 from June of 1995. In this issue the Warners visit a Health Spa, Pinky and the Brain try to “Win Big,” and the Warners get all wet when a plumber fills the water tower with with water and flushes the Warners to different parts of the studio. Is this issue worthy of the name, “Animaniacs,” or is it all wet? Find out!
