It’s time again for the Animanicast! Here’s a special episode discussing the first issue of the Animaniacs comic book!
Join Joey and Nathan for a special episode of the “Animanicast!” A podcast dedicated to the classic 90s cartoon show Animaniacs! Today’s episode features a discussion of the first issue of the Animaniacs comics. Featuring Pinky and the Brain dressing up as punk rockers, Wakko wishing for ice cream, and the Warners assisting Columbus.
Animaniacs Comics Issue #1
Each and every week, your hosts revisit an episode of the series in the order in which they first premiered. They discuss their favorite jokes, gags, and discuss all the cultural references they can find! Each episode is then given a “Water Tower Rating” by the hosts. How many water towers will this COMIC BOOK get?
Since Kelly is off having fun at Star Wars Celebration, Joey and Nathan sit down to discuss Animaniacs Issue #1. Published by DC Comics back in May of 1995. It’s a different type of episode featuring a discussion of the first issue of this series which ran for 59 issues. Does it live up to the quality set by the television show?
Global Disorder
The first section deals with Pinky and the Brain trying to freeze world leaders using laughing gas, wax molds, punk rock music, and Brain’s DNA? Yes the plot is convoluted, but does this first section live up to our expectations of what a Pinky and the Brain cartoon should look like? Sort of.
