“Captain Marvel” is the hero we needed in the 90’s when the war between the Kree and Skrull came to Earth and threatened us long before there were Avengers. The discussion begins on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Case Files.
“Captain Marvel” gives us the origin story of one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU.
A woman named Vers, who defends the Kree from the shape-shifting Skrulls, has strong powers but no memory. After being caught by Talos, a Skrull leader, she escapes and lands on Earth in 1995. With the help of SHIELD agent Nick Fury she tries to stop the Skrull threat. But along the way she regains some of her memories, finds some of her friends, and realizes that her mission might have been wrong to begin with. Jay and Josh are allergic to Flerkens, but have made sure to their allergy medicine on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Case Files Hiatus #11.
