By Mike Audette //  It appears that the next Rogue One trailer is coming on Friday to ABC. The Star Wars Show will be streaming live from Celebration Europe to showcase all the happenings. Hasbro is holding the second-ever fan voting to choose the next Black Series figure. And Cloud City makes a triumphant foray into Star Wars Battlefront.

Battlefront DLC

Tuesday saw the wide release of the newest DLC pack for Star Wars Battlefront, Bespin. There is plenty of substance to this update compared to the Outer Rim DLC of a few months ago. There are five new maps, a new Sabotage game mode, a new Cloud Car and new weapons. Additionally, there are customization options for the Imperial and Rebel characters.

The new maps are all breathtakingly gorgeous and intricately detailed for an amazing experience. From the regal Administrator’s Palace to the sprawling Cloud City to the haunting Carbon Freezing Chambers to the ingenuous Bioniip Laboratories, and the Tibana mining facility filled skies of Bespin, it’s stunning.

There are surprises galore featured in all of the maps and the look of each one is stunning. Clean whites in some mixed with the dark and damp shadows of the Carbon Freezing Chamber. It seriously looks straight out of the movie.

New Weapons

You’ll need to complete the famed Hutt Contracts to unlock the new weapons and Star Cards. I found that the Hutt Contracts for Bespin are much easier to complete compared to the ones that were released with the Outer Rim DLC.

To get the two new blasters, the EE-4 and the X-8 Night Sniper, you need to get 30 kills with the EE-3, 3 Blaster rifle streaks, and 10 generator defense events for the EE-4. Those were quite achievable for me sense the EE-3 is my blaster of choice. For the X-8 Night Sniper, that one took a tad bit longer. You needed to get 15 kills using Lando as a hero, a 5,000 objective score in Sabotage, and 10 headshots with blaster pistols. Depending on how good you are, the 5,000 objective score should take no time at all or several hours.

The headshots are pretty standard, I’m quite decent with the DH-17. The 15 kills as Lando is the most annoying part. It’s completely random as to where the Hero power-ups locate. Then, you’ll have to hope he’s available and someone else isn’t using him. When you find one is agonizing.

But when you find him, get ready for a trip. Lando is a blast to play with. He’s voiced by Billy Dee (cause who else is going to voice Lando). His lines are amazing, skills and abilities are very fitting to his character. He also uses the Night Sniper, which has an infrared scope to suss out hiding enemies.

Speaking of Heroes, Dengar is available as the newest Hero character for the Imperials. I’ve only used him once so far as of writing this. However, he is a lot of fun to use as well. While Funko continues to forsake DengarDan, EA and DICE have heard of his plight.

There’s plenty to do and see in Bespin so get out there and join the Battlefront.

Rogue One Trailer

Numerous outlets found this week that the next Rogue One trailer is going to debut on the night of Friday July 15th. That same Friday is the first day of Star Wars Celebration Europe where the opening panel is all about Rogue One.

The Rogue One trailer will probably be shown during the panel for those in attendance and if these reports of it being show later at night in the United States, it will not be going up on YouTube directly after being shown in London. If they were promoting to show the trailer on TV on ABC, what sense would it make to put it online? At 8 pm on ABC the Rogue One trailer looks like it will be airing alongside the Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey which is one of the bonus features available on the home release edition of the film.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the trailer will be right at the end of the event so make sure to get by your TV’s at about five minutes before the hour.

Black Series Fan Poll

Like there was last year, Hasbro and Lucasfilm have announced that there will be another fan vote to choose the next action figure part of the six-inch Black Series line. The winner last year was Darth Revan, while runner-up Sabine Wren is also being made. All characters are available to be chosen from besides any from Rogue One.

The first round of voting takes place in conjunction with Star Wars fansites and the list can be found: here. Following the initial first stage voting, the next round will take place on StarWars.com from July 18th to the 22nd and then the winner will be announced at the Hasbro Star Wars product panel on July 23rd at San Diego Comic Con. I don’t collect much of the action figures, just not my thing really

Who knows what the outcome of the voting will be so maybe it will be something I’m inclined to buy.

The Star Wars Show Live

star-wars-show-live-announce

And lastly but not leastly, this past Wednesday it was announced on the Star Wars Show that Celebration Europe will be live-streamed on StarWars.com just like last year in Anaheim.

The show will start on Friday the 15th through Sunday the 17th and feature celebrity guests, interviews, panels, and more. Hosted by Andi Gutierrez and Peter Townley will be bringing in all of the action with their unique brand of humor, charm, and most important of all, fun!. The big one on the list will be the Rogue One panel streaming at 11 am EST and 8 am PST.

I was in Anaheim last year so I have no idea what it was like to experience the convention via the livestream. I’ll be at work during the Rogue One panel so I’ll have to watch it on my phone most likely. Besides that one I’ll just keep up to date on everything from everyone live tweeting.
